Jamie Caton, Katharine Heller, Robyn Miller, Elena Smith, me, Buck, and Harriet McFadden – some of our group
I just returned from a wonderful experience at Buck Brannaman’s ranch in Sheridan, Wyoming. He and his daughter Reata invited a group of top hands to start 35 colts over 4 days the first week of June. A friend from here, Robyn Miller, was part of the group lucky enough to be on the roster. By the 4th day the colts were confidently experiencing real ranch riding in the west! What a treat to watch colts get such a solid beginning to their lives under saddle. Each day Buck demonstrated on one of his horses how he methodically breaks down his training system to develop and advance his bridle horses. Watching the best in any discipline is always inspirational.
