The USA had never won Gold at the World Equestrian Games since they began in 1990.  USA had won Silver in 2006 and Bronze in 2014, but the Gold Medal had eluded them until Friday.  McLain Ward, Laura Kraut, Devin Ryan, and Adrienne Sternlicht brought it home with their wonderful group of horses: Clinta, Zeremonie, Eddie Blue, and Christalline respectively.  Sweden captured Silver and Germany took the Bronze.
