Melanie Smith Taylor Clinic with Robyn Miller – Martin, Tennessee

February 14, 2020 - February 16, 2020

The clinic –  hosted by UT Martin and led by lifelong horsewoman Melanie Smith Taylor – is focused on providing optimal environment for Fellowship, Horsemanship and Scholarship. The program is intended to enhance communication between horse and rider by developing groundwork skills along with expertise on the horse’s back. This practice develops a better “feel” of how the horse interprets what we are asking them through body language, pressure and release.

The Wildwood Horsemanship Workshops features 3 days of both ground work and riding to create a better connection between horse and rider. The first day is focused on ground and flat work, incorporating jumping and coursework into days 2 & 3.

Renowned horsewoman Melanie Smith Taylor and assistant Robyn Miller will lead the 3 day clinic broken into three sessions based on ability and group size. Sessions will focus on Groundwork, Flatwork, Jumping and Coursework. Participants can choose which areas they would like to participate in as the clinic progresses. This allows for any non-jumping individuals to work on adjustability with pole work. Each session will last approximately 2 hours in length.
